<WWHost> Mandi, tell us what have you been up to?
<MandiLeigh> Lots of shows!! My dancers and I recently toured AZ and now we are all over CA the next couple of months. Also working on a couple films and recording the rest of the album.
<Anonymous2112> what kinda films?
<WWHost> Yes Mandi, what kind of films are you working on?
<MandiLeigh> A couple weeks ago I was cast as an extra in the new film Fat Albert. And in July-August I will be shooting a film in Nashville called The Wraith. It's a super hero film. You can get more information on both on my official site www.mandileigh.com
<Jake> cool! whats it like making an album? is it stressful?
<MandiLeigh> I think with anything that takes so much of your body
heart and soul, a little stress comes along with. But its been an amazing experience. I am writing most of my album, and have had input
100% in the entire process.
<MandiLeigh> I'm excited to get it out there this winter.
<WWHost> Who are your musical influences Mandi?
<MandiLeigh> Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra. I love old music. The classic stuff. I've also had a lot of dance background.. so Michael Jackson, Janet..

<MandiLeigh> The shows are going great :) We actually just got back from San Diego last night. We performed at the Del Mar Fair. We're there again next weekend as well.

<WWHost> Mandi, whats been your favorite location of a show so far?
<MandiLeigh> Recently when I went back and had shows in AZ it was cool, because I had not seen my family in a while and they ALL came out to see us. So that was cool. That or Orlando, FL. I can't wait to go back
<WWHost> Mandi, your official site says you went to the MTV movie awards
<WWHost> How was that?
<MandiLeigh> I did. That was a fun night.. met a lot of cool people. Good times :)
<WWHost> So what can we expect from you in the future? When will the album come out so we can all go get it?
<Cool54> thats kool .. mtv awards!

<MandiLeigh> A lot of shows the rest of the summer.. I will be doing Club Seaworld, i'm very excited about that. Also, the films. The Wraith will be out later this year, along with the soundtrack which I will be featured on. And we are aiming for a winter 2004 release of the album.

<WWHost> And to remind our visitors, what style of music do you sing?
<MandiLeigh> Pop/Rock/R&B. It has a pop foundation with different styles blended in to give everyone a little something.

<MandiLeigh> I did. :) All my friends in CA, and some other friends flew in and we had a big party at my house.

<MandiLeigh> I do, and the last couple of days i've been visiting quite often.

<MandiLeigh> I do not. The album is about 50% complete. So I'm still feeling out the album.. where it's going to go.

<MandiLeigh> The title just has to be 'right'. So i'm still waiting for it to come to me. I am writing a novel as well, and it's the same way. No title yet.
<WWHost> Oh great! What is the novel about?

<MandiLeigh> It's a fiction novel. In the same genre as Candace Bushnell (Sex and The City), Jane Green.. etc. It's set in NYC. A novel about a young female discovering who she is.. it's still in the early stages.

<MandiLeigh> 'Confessions' has not left my CD player since I bought it.
<MandiLeigh> And Christina's is hot!

<MandiLeigh> Just one? Hmm. I want to see Europe. (Paris, Italy, Tuscany. Any will do.) :)
<MandiLeigh> I also would like to take a week or two and see Atlantis in the Bahama's. I'm a beach girl.

<MandiLeigh> I always do that in between shows and rehearsals here. :)
<Anonymous6062> Speaking of relaxing, what is your ideal time of a relaxing day/weekend?
<MandiLeigh> At my apartment, i just recently got my own place.
Reading a novel or writing. Sometimes i'll host small dinner parties. That relaxes me.
<Anonymous6062> Do you like to cook?
<MandiLeigh> It's funny, i never used to. Since being here, i've really grown to love it a lot. I make a lot of italian. I also like to bake.
<Anonymous6062> Italian is my favorite food. lol
<MandiLeigh> Mine too. My dad's whole family is italian, so i grew up with it.
<Anonymous6062> What is one thing you wish you could do/learn?
<MandiLeigh> That's a good question. :) And play the piano. I have one, and i can play a little. But not well enough to write on. I'd really like some extra time, so that I could learn.
<Anonymous6062> Can you play any other instruments?
<MandiLeigh> No. I grew up studying dance 24/7 and singing.
<Anonymous6062> Dancing is an instrument. =)
<MandiLeigh> I'd also love to play the guitar, my little sister learned how. And i'd like to as well. But like I said, need the extra time.. :)
<MandiLeigh> I love dancing.
