ShockStarPromotions: Hi Mandi! Can you tell us a little about yourself?
MandiLeigh: Hello :-) My name is Mandi Leigh, I am a recording artist from Los Angeles, CA. My musical style has a pop foundation with hints of rock, r&b, and urban. Something for everyone.. I've been in music all my life..

SSP: What's been happening in your career lately (what have you been working on)?
ML: I am currently recording my debut album with ERA Productions in Los Angeles. I also just started working on a project for a movie, I've been asked to record the title track for the film in Nashville. Aside from that, alot of rehearsing for my spring/summer shows with my dancers..

SSP: We've read that you like to write lyrics, where does your inspiration for them come from?
ML: Yes, I am currently writing the upcoming tracks on my album. My inspiration comes from things that are really important in my life at the time. Emotional stuff I am going through. Writing to me is a release, so I just pour my heart out.

SSP: Like love songs? Or inspirational songs, or what type?
ML: Anything. Right now we are working on an untitled up-tempo dance song. There was a period when all I was writing was love songs, but right now, i'm trying to write more about me, being independent, getting out there on my own, making my dreams come true, doing what I need to do.
ML:So you could say, inspirational.

SSP: Getting back to your album, do you have any release plans yet or is that still in the works?
ML: It's still in the works. Aiming for a 2004 release.

SSP: Alright, well of all of the songs from your album, which would you say you had the funnest time recording, or which one's become your favorite to perform?
ML: Recording, I'd have to say 'Like A Queen'. It's rock influenced, and a lot of fun. I havn't had the chance to perform it yet. Performance, I'd go with Devil In Me, my dancers and I had a lot of fun with it.

SSP: If you could spend the day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
ML: Craig David Or Kimberly Williams. In music and acting I look up to those two individuals a lot.

SSP: If you were stranded somewhere, what 3 things would you have to have with you?
ML: Water, Cell Phone with service, Notebook & Pen.

SSP: Who would you say is your favorite artist on the radio today?
ML: Jagged Edge, Maroon 5 or John Mayer

SSP: Where is your favorite place to perform?
ML: Anywhere people can hear my music. Where I can get up sing, and put on a good show for people around me.
ML: The clubs in L.A. are fun

SSP: Do you experience stage fright before performing in front of a crowd of people?
ML: I wouldn't say stage fright. Since I was little I loved being on stage. There is that nervous feeling sometimes, that the show won't go as planned. You just pray for a good show and go do your thing.

SSP: Do you have any plans for a tour anytime soon?
ML: We are currently booking shows around the U.S for Spring/Summer. I currently have shows planned for CA, AZ and TX.
ML: My website is relaunching soon, and all dates will be on there.

SSP: Great :-)! And finally, is there anything you'd like to say to your fans?
ML: Thank you so much for your support! Come out and see the shows this spring and summer! Check out the site when it relaunches, and I'll talk to you all soon!

SSP: Alright, thanks so much for taking the time to talk with us, you seem really down to earth and sweet and we can't wait to see more of you in the future :-)
