PPE: Hey Mandi! Can you start off by introducing yourself for the readers?
My name is Mandi Leigh. I am a r&b pop artist and actress from Los Angeles.

PPE: What is your earliest memory of performing?
I was 5 years old. My schools church play, I was a lion who got to sing :)

PPE: When did you realize you wanted to become a pop artist?
I've always wanted to be a singer. My dad bought me my first real cordless microphone when I was 3. It was heavier than I was. haha.

PPE: How did you end up hooking up with ERA Productions?
I was an artist in the first ERA showcase and won first place. I am now recording my album in L.A. as well as Nashville.

PPE: Can you tell us a little bit about the movie you just filmed?
It's a superhero film. It's got adventure, suspense and romance. I am excited for its release. I play Emma Madison, a damsel in distress, if you will. I also recorded a ballad for the soundtrack and shot a music video that will be released soon and included on the films DVD.

PPE: When can we expect an album in stores?!
I am currently recording.. all updates on the album will be at www.mandileigh.com.

PPE: Are there any negoations with record labels at this point in time?
There are a few projects in the works, but nothing I can speak on at this time.

PPE: What has been the biggest lesson you've learned since you've entered the business?
To take care of yourself, always.

PPE: Explain to us, what a normal day is like for you.
Depending on my day. This past week has been insane. Last weekend, I recorded for 3 days straight.. then Saturday I had to be in hair in makeup by 9, on my music video set by 11, worked until 5. Took a break for dinner Then worked on the film from 6 pm until 3 am. It repeated the next day. When I have some time off I love to watch movies, shop, go to the spa.

PPE: Was it important to you to work with different producers on your debut album?
It's not about having a lot of different producers, it's about having the right producer(s) for me.

PPE: Who has been the nicest celebrity you've met so far?
Josh Kelley was a sweetheart. Jack Black was awesome.

PPE: How do you feel you are doing so far as a solo artist?
I am proud of the accomplishments that I have achieved, so far, on my own. I just work hard everyday to acheive something greater. I have a never ending list of goals. It's what keeps me going.

PPE: If you could trade careers with any artists out there right now, who would it be?
I don't want to trade with anyone. I want to live my own journey, and see where I can take myself.

PPE: What do you feel you are doing, that is going to get you signed to a strong label?
I'm just doing my thing. Writing music from my heart. Recording music that I am passionate about. Performing many shows.. and just putting myself out there. Working for it every morning I wake up, until I go to sleep at night.
